Your supplier has stopped supporting it or the developer has left, the application keeps failing and nobody's quite sure how it works. I find out what code and access you have, help you negotiate a clean handover with the supplier, write down the risks and propose next steps.
Orders, stock, your online shop and accounts are held together by people and spreadsheets. I connect them so data flows on its own, with alerts when something fails to transfer. I know ERP from the inside (Dynamics NAV, NetSuite); other systems I connect through their APIs.

Built in 2017 for a dance studio to meet Czech fiscal reporting rules, later connected to bookings and payment terminals. Same customer to this day; I'm now moving it to a new platform with role-based access and a full audit trail.
An online cyber-security training game for company employees (Node.js, React). I took it over with no documentation, stabilised it first, then delivered a long list of improvements; after about a year I handed it over to the supplier's new team.
For five years, as an in-house developer, I customised and extended Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) and developed the point-of-sale system, warehouse management including voice picking, and the link to payment terminals. The 2017 point-of-sale system grew out of that experience.

For a small system; larger systems by scope. I go through the code, operations and access, and usually within 10 working days of getting access you receive a written report: what's in the system, what's risky and what I recommend. I carried out independent reviews of third-party systems as a consultant at a global IT consultancy.

Operation and development for a fixed monthly amount. Support requests get a response within one working day (CET): I confirm receipt and tell you what happens next; the fix timeline depends on severity. When I'm unavailable, a trusted colleague covers for me.
I propose a price after the intro call – for takeovers, after the review – hourly, per project or as a monthly fee. As a VAT-registered EU business I can invoice in EUR or CZK. Almost six years at international companies – NetSuite (USA, later Oracle) and CGI (Canada) – mean I'm used to working in English with distributed teams.
What I don't take on: employment, brochure websites and template e-shops, apps built to the lowest possible budget, and 24/7 on-call.
I take on only a small number of projects at a time and plan timelines accordingly. I'll tell you when I can start on our first call. I handle smaller jobs and ongoing support myself; for larger projects I bring in freelancers I've worked with for a long time. You still talk to me, and I'm the one looking after the result.
Most of my work isn't greenfield – the system is already live and no change can be allowed to take it down. When I worked on NetSuite's tax engine, every change had to keep working for documents and settings customers had used for years. I still work that way: small steps, data checks and always a way to roll back.
More work than people? I independently deliver or take over a well-defined part of a project for your client: backend, integrations, Camunda, React.
Since 2023 I've been contributing to the development and maintenance of lending and mortgage processes in Camunda 7 for a bank.
I work under your brand and in your tools, sign an NDA and won't approach your clients, even after the project ends. I hand code and documentation over to your team and bring in other people only with your consent. Rates agreed upfront.
